With Anticons, Waldersten takes another step with paintings that almost fits in a pocket. All of the paintings are made in oil, drawn on fibreboard in the summer and autumn of 2019. They are framed at Bergevall Ramar in Stockholm with birch frame and carefully packaged in handmade boxes from Norrmalms Cardboard Factory with hand-signed titles on the front.
“To paint in a small format, on wood, started as a form of meditation, like a mantra. I wanted to get close to my pictures again, back to where it all started. Just me, surface, brush and time. To the holiness of the small things. “
The collection is shown in The Room at Fredrikshovsgatan 5 initially but it is also available via waldersten.com. The Room is open on Tuesdays between 13 – 18.30 and Thursdays on request. Saturday the 30th of November and the 14th of December it´s open from 12-16.
